VTA Pilot Program for Solar Powered Digital Real Time Displays

VTA Pilot Program for Solar Powered Digital Real Time Displays by CHK America and Brasco International

VTA, CA - The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) has launched a pilot program with the latest technologies in transit stop ridership improvements.

The program's improvements include the ConnectPoint-10 digital real time information displays which update bus arrival times every minute.  In addition to the displays, are the SolStop light and SmartStop wayfinding totem, both fully powered by solar energy.  The SolStop is our push-button activated LED light on a pole, and the SmartStop is an 8' tall freestanding totem with (2) ConnectPoint-13 digital dispalys and one 10" interactive tablet for transit wayfinding.

All products are shown below, with the program's results at their highest success rates possible.  Check out the screen comparison of an iPhone 6 at full illumination next to the ConnectPoint-10 display.  This demonstrates how the ConnectPoint's eInk dispaly is ideal for outdoor publis transit use - whether in full sun, shade or poor weather.
